Background
In the Dutch neighbouring country, in the south of Limburg, a procedure has been developed which involves the parties involved e.g. builders, communities in order to achieve an early technical and social consensus. Sustainability as a process of several parties involved and not as a simply technical dogma.

Target Group
To transmit this procedure by means of a concrete building project to the Aachen region.

Description
„Duurzaam Bouwen Ostelijk Zuid-Limburg"? promotes sustainable development in the planning and buidling sector and is composed of agreements under private as well as public law in 8 communities of the South Limburg region. The 3 products are: a list of requirements, checklists and contract. The project development took 2.5 years and the contract became effective in 1997. The below mentioned partners developed a list of requirements and a checklist for the planned object.
