REGIOmarché

Period
since 2002

Background
Regional food implies short ways of transporation. Regional food implies added value for the region. It sustains rural agriculture as well as small- and medium-sized manufacturing business and thus sustainable economic structures. But regional food has to compete in a hard price competition being accelerated by the concentration on the food sector. In 1997, the Foundation has already initiated the regional marketing project "na(h)türlich"? in order to strengthen the region. The experience made in this project is now used for the new project "Regiomarché"?.
