Information Evening CO2 Card

Period
2008

Background
The Federal Government's objective to reduce CO2-emissions by 40% until 2020 cannot be achieved  with the currently agreed individual measures. We need reliable, market-based, (completely rounded) instruments: measures which engage also the citizens financial interest in  CO2-reduction. The expansion of the current emission trade system on the private sector could be a decisive step. The event in Berlin was designed to reach multipliers and initiate the societal discussion on the method of integrating citizens in emissions trading, especially considering the discussions in the UK. <media 103> (Invitation) </media>
